Excerpt from the book:
Mallory had just made what might be her final trip back through the mirror to the year 1852. Her mission was to save her best friend’s family, who were about to be sold by an evil slave owner.
From where she was hiding in the fireplace, Mallory could see that the slave owner was fast asleep. The key she needed was on a string, hung around his thick neck. Mallory crept closer to the sleeping man. She could smell his putrid breath as she slowly pulled the string over his head.
Suddenly, the slave owner jerked awake! A cold, firm hand gripped Mallory’s arm as she looked into his rage filled eyes.
Find out if Mallory escapes when you read, “The Girl in the Mirror.”
